Come and climb Snowdon for Little Troopers this September

Little Troopers, the military children’s charity, is calling on the military community to come together and climb Snowdon on Saturday 9th September to raise money for the tri-service charity.

The fundraiser will be the sixth time that Little Troopers has organised a climb of the Welsh mountain. Anyone and everyone is welcome to take part - young and old, groups and individuals - whether it’s your first mountain climb or one of many. All the climbers will be led up the mountain by experienced mountaineers from RAW Adventures.

The charity is hoping to raise at least £7,500 to support its work supporting children from all three services who have parents serving in the British Armed Forces. Last year, Little Troopers directly supported more than 16,500 military children through its core work as well as launching two major new projects including the Little Troopers Therapy Programme.

Louise Fetigan, Founder of Little Troopers, comments: “Our Snowdon trip is an opportunity for service personnel, veterans, military families and their friends to all come together for a challenging but enjoyable day out to raise crucial funds for our small charity.

“The military community knows first hand how the right support for military children can make such a big difference in their lives and our charity relies on fundraising to create new resources, initiatives and projects that ensure all military children have access to support wherever they are in the world and whenever they need it the most. This is the biggest event in our calendar this year and we know that the community won’t let us down. Whether you band together a team of colleagues or come as a family or an individual, we would love to see you there.”

Registration for the fundraiser costs £35 per person to cover the cost of the climb. Once registered, climbers will be sent details of how to create a fundraising page linked to the challenge to share with friends and family. Everyone taking part will also receive a medal and certificate which will be handed out at the end of the climb, along with tea and cake.

Anyone wanting to donate to the challenge can already do so on the Little Troopers Snowdon Challenge page here.
