Brunei: Nepalese Passport Renewal on 20th - 21st April 2024 has been POSTPONED to June (Date TBC)


NEPALESE PASSPORT RENEWAL *POSTPONED*

The Nepalese passport renewal service scheduled to take place in Brunei on 20 - 21 April 2024 has been postponed due to shortage of manpower in the Embassy of Nepal, Kuala Lumpur. The next passport renewal service in Brunei has been re-scheduled to take place in June 2024 (date tbc).

Service personnel and families who are required to renew their Nepalese passport urgently are authorised to travel Embassy of Nepal, Kuala Lumpur on public expense. They are to visit Main Admin Office for travel arrangements and further guidance. More details can be found at this LINK.

NEPALESE PASSPORT RENEWAL ON 20 - 21 APR 24 has been POSTPONED to June (Date TBC)

The Embassy of Nepal in Kuala Lumpur has been scheduled to visit Brunei on 20 - 21 Apr 24, to facilitate passport renewal services for Nepalese residents in Brunei. Please find the details below and follow the step-by-step guide for renewing your passport and those of your family members.

1. Eligibility

Service Personnel and their family whose passport is going to expire before 30 Sep 2025 and left with less than six pages (counting both sides).

2. Please scan the QR below or follow the URL: https://forms.office.com/e/tNXy6YkV8P to complete the form.

3.   Step by Step Guide for renewal of passport

a. Log on to: https://emrtds.nepalpassport.gov.np/

b. Choose type of application – Renewal.

c. Select Ordinary 34 pages and select ‘Proceed’.

d. In ‘Book Your Appointment’ page, select Appointment Country to ‘Other’ and Appointment Location to ‘NE, Kuala Lumpur’. Choose the nearest available date to 20 Apr 24 to book the slot (you can select any available slot in Apr 24 if nearest date is unavailable).

e. Follow the onward process to fill out the application form using the details as according to your current passport and Nepali citizenship card.

f. Once you complete the application form, print a copy of it.

g. Do not pay for the fee online.

4. Important notice

Fee for the renewal of E-Passport is RM 310 for 34 pages which will be publicly funded. As for now, there is no option to apply for 66 pages.

5. Documents required on the day

a. A printed copy of completed application form in colour.

b. Original Passport and a clear colour photocopy of photo page and NOK page (both in one single page – example as below).


c. Original Nepali Citizenship Card and a clear colour photocopy of both sides of the NPP (both in one single page – as illustrated in example above).
