RBL - President's Fund for University Students


The RBL’s President's Award Scheme can provide educational grants and scholarships to the children of current and former service personnel up to university age.

One-off grants of up to £500 are available to help pay for course fees, public transport costs, text books, course equipment, specialist clothing and more. Alongside the grants, scholarships are available for applicants who are going to university and aged 21 or under.

A continuation application is required each year and is accepted up to age 23. Up to £1,500 per year can be awarded to Service children going to university to study for their first undergraduate degree; usually awards are made to help with accommodation costs. The awards are decided by committee who will look at the individual circumstances of each applicant.

The Committee meets tri-annually in January, July, and September.

Dental Services

Service Personnel

All Military patients due or soon will be due Annual Dental check will be informed directly or via their CoC.

Civilian Patients

Non Service patients will not be contacted by the Dental Centre to arrange Annual dental check-up appointments. Any civilian patients requiring an Annual Dental must contact the dental center so this can be arranged.

Booking Appointment

Please be aware that all patients will need to be registered with Medical Centre prior to booking an appointment.

Also, please note that no treatment will be started within 3 months of posting out of BFB.

Little Troopers, Countdown to the summer!


As schools have broken up in Scotland and the rest are counting down we are reflecting on our Little Troopers at School virtual roadshow. The project will continue in the Autumn but for now we wanted to share our video which is full of smiley faces shows how we helped lots of little troopers across two weeks in June.

Moving on we are looking to the holidays and our plans for the rest of the year. With weeks of summer holidays to fill we have lots to help; read on to find out about our Summer Show, Get Cakey and how your child could get their name in print. Also don't forget our Crafty Little Troopers section which has over 50 activities.
