UNIVERSAL INFANT FREE SCHOOL MEALS (UIFSM)
1. Service children and children of entitled MOD civilians in schools overseas aged 4, 5 and 6 (FS 2, Year 1 and Year 2 or equivalent) are entitled to a Universal Infant Free School Meal. In schools without facilities to provide meals, a refund of £2.41 per meal can be claimed. This is in line with government funding allocated to schools in England. Claims are to be submitted on JPA for payment for each term and within 90 days of the date on which proof of termly attendance received.
