Schools and education in the UK: The national curriculum

The national curriculum is a set of subjects and standards used by primary and secondary schools so children learn the same things. It covers what subjects are taught and the standards children should reach in each subject.

The national curriculum is organised into blocks of years called ‘key stages’ (KS). At the end of each key stage, the teacher will formally assess your child’s performance.

The new policy for Elective Home Education Overseas is now live and should be accessed by Armed Forces personnel on the MOD's DIN Library.  The DIN replaces Ministry of Defence (MOD) policy contained in JSP 342: Education of Service Children and Young People (Version 4.0, Chapter 4, Paras 50-57, dated Sep 2019).

The DIN is supported by a Parental Guide and these documents aim to provide comprehensive direction and guidance for all personnel who are either considering or delivering elective home education to their children overseas

NHS COVID Pass

An NHS COVID Pass shows your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination details or test results. This is your COVID-19 status. You can use this if you're travelling abroad or going to a domestic venue or event and need to prove your COVID-19 status. However, check the entry requirements of the country you're visiting before you travel.

Click here to use the online NHS COVID Pass service.

BFB are unable to add further Covid-19 vaccination information to the BruHealth App at this time.

The Brunei Ministry of Health (MoH) have informed us that an update to the BruHealth App will be coming shortly, this will allow individuals to have their App updated with any details of vaccination received outside the Brunei MoH.

The Brunei MoH have also said that, any international certificate of vaccination, including the wallet-sized NHS Covid card received from the PCMF, can be used as evidence of vaccination status.
