Pension Sharing on Divorce
Veterans UK have identified a number of Armed Forces Pensions Scheme (AFPS) members who have a Pension Sharing Order in place which requires recalculation.
This is a result of an error made when applying DWP legislation to the Armed Forces Pension Schemes.
AFPS members affected by this issue will shortly receive a letter from Veterans UK notifying them of the situation and detailing their new entitlement. Personnel who have been overpaid will not have the overpayments recovered from them, and those who have been underpaid will receive any arrears due.
